Red Special vs. Blue Blur
Fox sighed as walked down the second floor hallway of the Smash Mansion. Honestly, what part of 'turn your rap music down' didn't Diddy Kong understand? If he didn't stop blaring it so loudly, someone (probably one of those sleeping in an adjacent room) would end up throwing him out of a window.
"Hey, I won that time, so I should pick the last song!"
"That was not fair! I don't have your speed, how do you expect me to keep up?"
"Maybe you should have thought of that before picking a song you wrote!"
Entering the nearby game room, the Cornerian pilot saw Brian and Sonic glaring each other. Judging from the guitar-shaped controllers and the TV screen, the two were playing Guitar Hero Superstars 2.
"Whoa, whoa, guys!" Fox hastily grabbed one of the controllers. "Let me pick, all right?"
"Fine." Brian shrugged. "Each of us got to pick a song." He looked over at the blue hedgehog. "Ready to get your ass kicked, blue boy?"
"Bring it, curly!"

In the privacy of his flat, Brian stood before a strange, metallic object resembling a lantern. He held up his hand, sliding a small green ring onto his finger, before pressing said ring against the lantern. As the lantern began to glow, he spoke quietly but solemnly.
"In brightest day, in blackest night,
No evil shall escape my sight.
Let those who worship evil's might
Beware my power--Green Lantern's light!"
Upon completing the strange rite, he drew back his hand and formed a fist. Instantly, a green and black uniform materialized, including an eye mask. Striding over to the window, he pushed it open, shooting out into the air.
It's still hard to believe this ring lets me fly, he thought. Wonder if I'll ever get used to it--ah, there he is.
